The surroundings are urban, commercial and waterfront-oriented, with shops, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, taxi ranks and bus stops within walking distance. Playa del Reducto is about 50 metres from the property, while Castillo de San Gabriel and Charco de San Ginés are also reachable on foot. The nearby Gran Hotel and Intercambiador area provides buses towards Lanzarote Airport and other island destinations. A car is unnecessary for central Arrecife, although useful for visiting rural, volcanic and coastal attractions elsewhere on Lanzarote.

Arrecife can be visited throughout the year. Spring and autumn combine warm conditions with comfortable walking weather, while June to September is hotter, drier and popular for beach stays. Winter remains mild but can bring more wind, cloud and occasional rain. Carnival season in Arrecife, normally during February or March, can increase activity and local demand. Strong wind or occasional calima can affect beach conditions and outdoor sightseeing at any time.
